Antonina Tereshchenko, PhD

Prior to her PhD research at University of Cambridge, Antonina worked for the International Renaissance Foundation (Open Society Institute) in Ukraine on the policy program, supporting equal and transparent access to higher education for all. For the last five years, Antonina has worked at University of Porto and King’s College London on projects focusing on educational in/equalities in relation to social identities such as gender, class, and ethnicity, particularly in the context of migration. Her work is published in international journals, such as Journal of Youth Studies, Global Studies of Childhood, Educational Studies and Research Papers in Education. Antonina is keen to add meaningful purpose to research through engaging and training youth and educators, as well as ensuring impact with audiences outside the university. Antonina is particularly excited about initiatives which help to promote social justice and contribute to positive social change.
